Special COVID Protocol Docent Led Tours
of the Historic House - approx 50 minutes
4 guests maximum
Masks and Social Distancing Required
Docent-led tours welcome visitors to the mid-20th century home of Sam and Alfreda Maloof, housing the world’s largest collection of furniture designed and crafted by woodworker Sam Maloof.
The tour follows the famous craftsman’s story as a son of immigrants who rises to global fame as the maker of exquisite California Modernist furniture. The Maloof Historic Home, which evolved during more than half a century of occupancy by the woodworker and his family, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and regarded by many as Maloof’s most important work of art. Rooms display a selection of paintings, drawings, ceramics, and textiles by artists of the Pomona Valley, Southwest, Mexico, and America's studio craft movement.
Special COVID-protocol tours operate at 50% capacity, limited to only four guests per tour. Face masks and social distancing are required, with HEPA and ultraviolet filters providing enhanced air circulation in indoor spaces.
House Tours last approximately fifty minutes, interior and exterior, with Gallery, Discovery Garden and Upper Barn workshop recommended for viewing before or after.
