En Plein Air Painting Workshop

Description:
Come paint the Maloof's scenic gardens and beautiful landscape.
This plein air workshop will allow attendees to approach Sam and Alfreda Maloof's vision through the painter's lens of design, color, and form.
This class is recommended for participants with some plein air experience but all are welcome!
Teaching Artist Frankie Gutierrez will give a demonstration, and tour of the grounds, cover material usage, and possible painting set-ups.
Materials for this workshop will not be provided, it is recommended that participants bring canvas, easels, paper, watercolor, oil paint, brushes, or any other painting materials they are comfortable using.
Comfortable shoes, hats, and sunscreen are also highly recommended!
Artist Bio:
Frankie Gutierrez, illustrator, painter, and printmaker graduated with a BFA in Illustration from California College of the Arts and is now a candidate for the CSUSB Master of Fine Art in Studio Art.
Their work is a confused mixed bag of bright colors and silly shapes highlighting the playful nature of gender fluidity and community.
