This 3-hour woodworker-led experience offers an in-depth look at the story of Sam Maloof as artist, designer and furniture maker. The journey begins in the mid-century Maloof Historic Home, which Sam designed and built for his family, and includes a visit to the workshop where Sam's unique vision and techniques evolved across more than a half a century of woodworking. The tour also includes a short video and visit to the
Sam Maloof Woodworker showroom.
The Guide for this tour is Dennis Hays, whose own long career as a woodworker in the Inland Empire region was greatly influenced by Sam's unique example and philosphy.
Tours offer a woodworker's insightful and deeply personal exploration of the Maloof legacy in woodworking design and innovation, with tour guides whose proximity and familiarity with Sam assures and unforgettable experience.
