Education

Maloof Education programs serve young people, adults, artists, veterans, woodworkers, and others. In-school, on-site, and hands-on learning experiences invite participants to explore Sam's legacy, through tours, woodworking, art-making and environmentally responsible, drought-tolerant gardening.  We invite your awareness, participation, and philanthropic support for education programs, scholarships, outreach and more.

Art and Conservation

A cultural treasure threatened by plans for a highway project, the handcrafted Maloof home and workshop were saved and relocated to their present site.  We have an opportunity to imagine The Maloof's historic structures, art collection, and gardens in relation to present and future needs, and to plan enhancements needed to accommodate new generation of artists, craftspeople, students and visitors.

The Craftsman Society

Planned Giving Program
The creative spirit is what gives life to a society. In a world of machine-made products, the arts and crafts nourish the soul and reconnect human values with natural forms and materials. The timeless treasures skillful artisans and craftsmen create by hand should be cherished, celebrated and preserved for future generations.

The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts has begun a planned giving program to perpetuate excellence in craftsmanship. Your tax-deductible gift will help the Foundation create a national center for the arts and crafts that presents artists' exhibits, lectures, workshops, demonstrations and other programs.

When considering your personal and philanthropic goals, simply name the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation as a beneficiary in your estate plan through a bequest, trust/s, or life insurance policy.

The Maloof Foundation would be pleased to work with individual donors to customize a planned gift that would be most beneficial to you and your estate.
