The entry gates at the Historic Home of Sam and Alfreda Maloof. The gate and all exterior doors are modeled to look like bamboo.

The courtyard area. The Japanese Maple was moved from the original site. The Beams are Douglas Fir and the siding is Redwood. Each door and window is unique.

The Dining Room. The talbe was made in the 1970's. This is a trestle style table with a hinged drop leaf made of Black Walnut. It has 3 drawers on each side. The light above the table was made by Karl Jennings.

Fireplace. Painting on the far pink wall is by Tony Abeyta.

This lovely cork table was the place where many meetings were held over a nice glass of fresh lemonade.

Hanging Plants
The plants are on a pulley system so that Alfreda wouldn't fall when she watered the plants. The back area was a laundry room at one point.

Wooden Latches: A Signature Touch

In keeping with his dedication to craftsmanship, Sam gradually replaced every door knob in the home with his own handcrafted wooden latches. Each latch is a functional work of art, showcasing Sam’s attention to detail and his belief that everyday objects should be beautifully made and practical.
