Experience Art and Nature in the Jacobs Education Center and Beyond

Explore the latest Maloof Foundation exhibitions where art, craftsmanship, and nature come together. Our exhibitions are housed in the Jacobs Education Center Gallery, the Pyramid Room, and the Discovery Garden, offering diverse experiences that highlight contemporary and historical artists, environmental themes, and the legacy of Sam Maloof.

Gallery Hours

All exhibits are open to the public for free.

  • Friday: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

  • Saturday: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

  • First Sundays (starting February 1, 2026) 12:00pm-4:00pm

Solomonica: A Series of Cabinets
by San Diego-based wood artist Beston Barnett

Jan 24, 2026-May 3, 2026, Jacobs Education Center Gallery

Opens January 24 and runs through May 23, 2026, Opening reception: Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 3-5 pm. The exhibit brings together furnituremaker Beston Barnett’s award-winning Solomonica series for the first time. His work draws on the tradition of Jewish craftspeople working within the multilingual vocabulary of Islamic geometry to carve visual stories.

Exhibition of current artists, all in the Pomona Valley. Sam and Alfreda were active members and promoters of the Pomona Valley artists and this exhibition continues that tradition.

Garry Knox Bennett and Nicki Marx

April 13, 2025 - May 25, 2026, Jacobs Education Center Gallery

Featuring the early works of famed Bay Area studio maker Garry Knox Bennett and Santa Cruz/Taos, New Mexico feather artist Nicki Marx. Both Bennett and Marx are considered historically important American designer-craft persons with long, influential careers in creating beautiful objects. Their early work, featured in this exhibit, influenced the material culture of California and indeed the larger Nation during the 1970’s.

The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts is a member of the Historic Artists' Homes and Studios program (HAHS) of the National Trust for Preservation.  HAHS is a coalition of 30 museums that were homes and working studios of American artists. Come, witness creativity!

The Maloof is a Smoke Free Facility.

Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere on the property or in the parking lots.
