Give your child a spring filled with imagination, hands-on discovery, and the joy of creating something unique to them! At Artful Living Arts and Crafts Camp, kids tap into their creativity through engaging arts experiences set in the inspiring and historic Maloof home and gardens, an environment unlike anywhere else in the Inland Empire.
Our young artists dive into a world of making ceramics, hand-building, sewing, papermaking, weaving, and more. From crafting pottery and building toys, building books, and creating vibrant papier-mâché sculptures, students explore meaningful projects that spark curiosity and build real-world skills. Along the way, they gain confidence, coordination, and problem-solving abilities and discover the incredible satisfaction of bringing their ideas to life with their own hands.
Each lesson is carefully crafted to promote creativity and personal growth. Students experiment with various materials, including clay, textiles, paper, and paint, which helps them learn to observe texture, color, shape, and form as they develop their unique artistic voice. By engaging in sketching, prototyping, refining, and sharing their creations, they enhance their communication skills, perseverance, dexterity, and fine motor skills, all while embracing the process of trial and error.
Throughout the program, children connect with cultural traditions, community stories, and the legacy of Sam and Alfreda Maloof as vital aspects of community identity and local history. Artful Living Arts and Crafts Camp is a place where kids feel inspired, capable, and excited to explore the world around them. Give your child the chance to imagine, create, and thrive. Registration will begin soon.

Maloof Artful Living After School Program
Ontario-Montclair School District partners with the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts to provide after-school art education experiences. The Maloof’s “Artful Living” curriculum is designed to teach art

Each course consists of 8 sessions, 1.5-hours each, offered twice weekly for 4 weeks. Contact Leslie Matamoros below to arrange the course at your school.

Maloof Teen Program
The Maloof Teen Program offers high school students the chance to learn, create, and connect in a museum environment. It’s a space for young creatives to foster their artistic practice, network, and gain valuable behind-the-scenes experience.
Our Story
The Maloof Teen Program began in 2010 with the “My Point of View/Mi Punto de Vista” initiative, aimed at high school students from the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. Students explored the Maloof Museum’s Mexican Folk Art Collection, learning about both the history of the artwork and how to give tours to their peers. Over time, the program expanded to include the Maloof’s furniture collection and more.
In 2014, we introduced summer internships for graduating seniors, providing hands-on experience in leading Maloof Teens and working with our Education Team. Throughout the years, Maloof Teens have partnered with local organizations, including the American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA), Bright Prospect in Pomona, and the Boys and Girls Club of San Bernardino.
