Larry says, "It’s a pleasure to announce that we’ll be using black walnut again for the upcoming woodworking workshops in the upper barns at the Maloof Foundation. Walnut was Sam Maloof’s chosen material, favored for its beautiful grain, color and workability and that it lent itself to the exquisite detail he brought to his fine furniture. We’re pleased that Bohnhoff Lumber in Los Angeles was willing to work with us so that we could reintroduce Sam’s preferred lumber for use in our new workshops."

Participants will be using beautiful black walnut accented with Wenge plugs.
The fabrication process will garner more complicated construction and shaping techniques to enhance the experience. This workshop will present the opportunity for personal growth, sharing with like-minded makers and a beautiful handmade table for your home.
Woodworker and Artist, Larry White was Sam Maloof’s first full-time woodworker employee, hired as a college student at the age of 19. Today, more than half a century later, Larry is an accomplished master artist and sculptor, who brings his personal story and expertise to this fantastic workshop.
