Join us for a special three-hour, woodworker-led tour celebrating the artistry and inspiration of master craftsman Dennis Hays. Deeply influenced by Sam Maloof’s philosophy and design legacy, Dennis shares his own creative journey as a maker shaped by Maloof’s timeless approach to craftsmanship. The experience begins in the mid-century Maloof Historic Home, designed and built by Sam himself, and includes an introductory film produced by the Smithsonian. From there, Dennis offers a personal and insightful look at how Maloof’s values of beauty, utility, and honesty in design continue to guide his own woodworking practice.

This tour runs approximately three hours, includes a 20-minute break, and is not ADA accessible due to stairs.
