Dive into the vibrant world of folk art with renowned artist Sandy Garcia in this engaging workshop. You’ll learn to transform everyday cardboard into beautiful works of art using acrylic paint, inspired by traditional folk art techniques.

Sandy, celebrated for her unique folk art style, will guide participants through techniques for incorporating cultural motifs and storytelling into their artwork. You’ll explore the use of color, form, and texture with a variety of materials provided including cardboard, brushes, and a full spectrum of acrylic paints.

Along the way, Sandy will share examples and insights into the history and significance of folk art, encouraging participants to infuse their own background and imagination into each piece.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have completed a vibrant creation that reflects your personal style and the folk traditions explored in class.
