Discover the beauty and simplicity of Japanese charcoal ink painting in this relaxing, hands-on workshop with artist Sumi.

Charcoal ink has been used for centuries throughout Asia in traditional calligraphy and painting. Sumi brings her own unique approach to this timeless art form, using flowing charcoal ink on watercolor paper to create delicate, expressive works inspired by nature.

In this workshop, Sumi will guide you through her painting techniques, showing you how to use fine brushes, flowing ink, and gentle brushstrokes to capture the beauty of the natural world. You'll explore how variations in line, texture, and shades of ink can bring your paintings to life.

Enjoy a peaceful and creative experience as you discover the expressive possibilities of charcoal ink painting. Whether you are new to painting or have previous experience, this workshop offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, experiment, and create something uniquely your own.

Please bring a sack lunch.
