Our First Sunday comes to the 24th Annual Mexican Folk Art Weekend on Sunday! In addition to the artist vendors listed below there are free hands-on activities for folks of all ages:
Master Food Preservers will be tabling with samples of hibiscus tea
Join Maloof edication team to make a corn husk doll and a drop-in workshop on weaving or cactus making with clay
Cucamonga Valley Water District will have hands-on information station about water-wise gardening

María Sabina Ángeles Mendoza from San Martín Tilcajete, Oaxaca, known for her work with traditional Oaxacan alebrijes (fantastical creature sculptures) and folk art. She is the daughter of world-renowned Oaxacan folk artists Jacobo and María Ángeles, famous for their intricate wood-carved and painted alebrijes rooted in Zapotec traditions
Jorge Quintana, renowned master potter from the village of Mata Ortiz, Chihuahua
