Sun prints, also known as cyanotypes, offer a beautiful and accessible way to create photographs without a camera. This process involves arranging various objects, such as leaves and flowers, on specially treated light-sensitive materials and exposing them to sunlight. This process creates stunning, elegant silhouette art.
In this workshop led by Maloof Teaching Artist Crystal Rodriguez, participants will learn how to mix the essential chemicals needed to achieve vibrant exposures to a variety of materials, including fabric, paper, and wood. Attendees will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece that embraces an early form of photography and captures the beauty of nature.
