Learn all about using ollas in the garden

Date: May 3, 2026

Time: 12:30 pm

Ages: 8-99

Cost: Free (use promotional code: “Free_Workshop” at checkout)

Join the UCCE Master Gardeners on Sunday, May 3rd at 12:30 pm to learn all about using ollas in the garden!  Ollas are a traditional way to water garden spaces, either in the ground or in pots, utilizing clay pots to slowly release water into the soil.  In this class, you will learn how ollas work, where they work (and don't work), and how to best use them in your own garden.  You will get a chance to make an olla out of premade pots to take home with you, which would be perfect for a potted plant or a small in-ground space.  Bring your questions and your imagination, and we will see you there!!

Space is limited, reserve your spot today!

In collaboration with UCCE Master Food Preserver. Workshops will be held at the Maloof Foundation and are free and open to the public. These accessible workshops emphasize the vital role of food preservation, gardening, and creative expression in connecting individuals to cultural and ecological heritage. Families and youth are welcome, and space is limited.
